When Photos Aren’t Enough

Some of the most meaningful pieces I create are moments that never existed in a single image. By carefully merging multiple references, I can bring loved ones together in one timeless portrait — honoring memory, connection, and legacy with realism and respect.

    Commissions are priced at $3 per square inch + tax and include up to two subjects.

  • Size Examples

    8×10 — $240 + tax
    11×14 — $460 + tax
    16×20 — $960 + tax

    (there are MANY sizes to choose from)

  • Additional Subjects

    Additional subjects can be added and are priced separately based on canvas size.

  • Booking & Payment

    A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your spot.
    The remaining balance is due before delivery, with payment plans available.

The process

Every commission is handled with care, communication, and attention to detail from start to finish.

1. Submit Your Request

Fill out the commission form with your idea, photos, preferred canvas size, and any important details. I’ll personally review your request and reach out to begin planning your piece.

2. Vision & Planning

We’ll discuss your vision, reference photos, and overall composition. I’ll guide you through what works best artistically to ensure the final painting is beautiful and balanced.

3. Secure Your Spot

Once we finalize the concept, you’ll receive your commission contract and invoice. A 50% deposit secures your place in my schedule.

4. Creation Begins

Your canvas is prepared and the painting process begins. I’ll provide progress updates along the way so you can watch your artwork come to life.

5. Final Review

When the painting is complete, you’ll receive photos for approval. Minor adjustments are welcome (up to 2–3 small changes if needed).

6. Finish & Delivery

Once approved, your painting is professionally varnished, carefully packaged, and prepared for delivery. The remaining balance is due before shipping or pickup. Shipping costs are the responsibility of the client.

How much do commissions cost?

Commissions are priced at $3 per square inch + tax and include up to two subjects. The final price depends on the canvas size and overall complexity of the piece.

How are additional subjects priced?

Additional subjects are priced separately depending on canvas size:

Small canvases (up to 11×14) → $50 per additional subject
Medium canvases (16×20 to 18×24) → $75 per additional subject
Large canvases (20×24 and larger) → $100+ per additional subject

This ensures each subject receives the time and detail needed to bring the painting to life.

Can you combine multiple photos into one painting?

Yes! This is something I specialize in. I often merge multiple reference photos to create meaningful compositions, especially for memorial pieces, family portraits, or pets who were never photographed together.

Do my reference photos need to be professional?

Not at all. Clear phone photos work perfectly. If you're unsure about your photos, feel free to send them along and I’ll help guide you. (If all you have is an old photo, I can work from that as well.)

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes. A 50% deposit secures your commission spot, and flexible payment plans are available for the remaining balance if needed.

How long does a commission take?

My current booking timeline is approximately 4 months. Once your painting begins, completion time can range from 5 days for smaller pieces to several weeks for larger, more detailed paintings.

Will I see progress updates?

Yes! I share progress updates throughout the painting process so you can watch your artwork come to life.

Do you ship paintings?

Yes. Commissions can be carefully packaged and shipped. Shipping costs are the responsibility of the client.

What if I'm not sure what size to choose?

No problem! I’m happy to help recommend the best canvas size based on your space, number of subjects, and overall vision.
